Update 13th Nov 2023
Had langar here on the 12th Nov, Diwali. My kid fell sick and started throwing up. All he had was rice and dahi. When I tasted dahi, it felt a bit weird but assumed it's made fresh and stayed out hence tasting different. Moreover with rice, it didn't taste bad so i let my kid have it as it's langar and didn't want to doubt the prashad. So I now realize that it was spoilt and should not have been given. Management should ensure that the food is right before serving.
Langar served here used to be good but sadly not anymore. I worship here but I have to bring this across. Secondly, where does all the mithai go that's received during Diwali because I have never seen it served? Someone comes and takes it back door. This happened last year too. I clearly remember as I got the sweets and someone took it and it was never distributed to the sangat. Only sweet served during this Diwali was Jalebi, which was stale. I honestly couldn't eat it. I am really concerned about the mithai part, not that I personally want but it is for the sangat and should be served but it's never the case here. Do you guys resell? How much can an employee keep for themselves? The big gurudwara has laid out the mithai in trays and never restricts but here, believe it or not, they served 1 Jalebi each plate. Also, sabzi served was over by 7pm when I had langar. The only thing left was gravy. Seriously, it was over by 7pm? You always have an estimate of the amount people visiting gurudwara on Diwali but the management never takes care of it. The langar served this Diwali made my child sick so something was definitely not right. You would never find such a review of a holy place but I worship here and take my right in publishing the facts that I observe. Management here is not doing the job right!
