A place where everybody is equal irrespective of one's background, where poor and needy can have free food provided they follow the code of conduct like covering one's head with some scarf etc, not intoxicated, not carrying any kind of tobacco products, must remove shoes while going to prayer hall and the hall where food is served. Can do volunteer work of cleaning, serving etc as other you may see. A good place for spiritual as well as physical hunger.

Years ago as teenagers my friend and I missed the last bus and had to wait at the bus stop across the road all night, it was rainy and cold. A man came out of this temple in the morning and brought us hot drinks. He was very kind to us, even though we had never met him before.

Place of worship for Sikh faith from northern part of India which was routed from Sanathana dharma. Here Guru granth, the Holy book by Gurus (main Guru been Gurunanak Dhevji refered as Vahe Guru) have preached peace, helping the needy, feeding food to whom so ever enters Gurudwara immaterial of race religion, all are welcome here. Every one treated with utmost respect and courtesy. Some group fought for independence from India and some did not. Sikhs are brave warriors of British army in their colonies and after independence in Indian army & they were called as patriotic regiment of India after the exibiting of their courage and dedication in 1974 defending war with Pakistan. Sikhs are settled all over the world where ever they are they contributed to the economy by their hardwork in agriculture, business and other essential services. You will never find a poor Sikh.
